Things to Do in Philadelphia This Week & Weekend

Welcome to a blockbuster week in Philly! The first full week of (unofficial summer) offers some of the year’s most-anticipated events.

The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show heads outdoors for the first time ever, blooming across a swath of South Philly’s FDR Park. Don’t miss the breathtaking installations, stunning arrangements and interactive experiences.

Also returning for 2021: Philly Beer Week! The annual tribute to all things beer celebrates the city’s brewing history and its impressive craft beer scene (90-plus breweries and more than 1,000 pours).

Look for rainbow-themed events during both festivals because it’s officially Pride Month. Greater Philadelphia attractions put LGBTQ communities front and center in June with special events, workshops, programs and clinics.

More awesome things to do this week include the iconic West Philly Porch Fest, FringeArts’ annual Circus Festival, pop-up markets supporting small local businesses and a kayaking adventure to one of the city’s coolest spots. Mark your calendars!

Plus, top attractions like Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, Parks on Tap and the Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink are open all week long.

This summer, every weekend is something to celebrate. Make it awesome with Free Parking Saturdays and discounted tickets purchased at the Independence Visitor Center to 29 top attractions in the city. Here’s how it works.

Extend the fun of the long weekend with the Visit Philly Overnight Hotel Package, which includes buy-one-get-one-free tickets to those same 29 attractions, plus free hotel parking (up to $100) and a comfortable bed you don’t have to make.

If you’re out and about this week and weekend, you know the drill: Masks are required in most public spaces, and many events recommend or require advanced tickets. Your best bet: Plan ahead. Read more right here.
